This year for New Years Eve our Stake was in charge of the youth dance. So we've had several meetings to get this going and the day has finally arrived. At 10:30 am we went to set up the gym. There were plenty of people there so I was thinking oh good this shouldn't take to long. Well I was wrong only about 5 of those people there where actually setting up and decorating and in the end there were only three of us. Frustrating, but needless to say we finally got it done.
Then I got invited by Carrie Wallace to go see Les Miserables at 3:00. There was no way that I was not going to go so I was happy that Nathan even agreed to let me go. I left the kids home to finish up the laundry while watching their own movie. The movie was really good and I must say that I didn't even cry, which is surprising to me because I usually cry really easy. If you haven't seen it you should go, but don't expect it to be as good as a broadway play. But it is very worth the money to go see it.
When I got home I got ready to go chaperone the dance with Nathan, MaKelle, and Landen all going as well. Salem and Brooklyn got dropped off to Mike and Anne Marie's house to enjoy the evening with them. When we first got there the D.J. was held up in traffic, yep sometimes there is traffic in Roosevelt, but once he got there we got things rolling. And actually there where more people there then I thought there would be so yes, there was a great turn out. We danced the night away and when it was all done we watched a video that the youth on the committee put together and then one short segment on next years theme for the youth Stand Ye in Holy Places...Very good! I'm excited for a new year and can't wait to see what 2013 has to offer me and my family!
One new years resolution is to do better at taking pictures. Sorry!

ThanksGiving & Christmas
This Year I forgot to take pictures at Thanksgiving so we'll just have to do better next year. This year we stayed home for Thanksgiving and I got put in charge of the Turkey and gravy. I did a pretty good job even if I do say so myself. We had it at the church in Tridell. It was a bunch of fun and we even learned a new game. We played dodge ball with a soccer ball and chairs. It was a lot of fun.
Christmas we were truly blessed. But first Dec 21 we had a little trip to Salt Lake City with Nathan's Family and had a Christmas party it was a ton of fun. We stayed at the Hampton, got checked in then had pizza delivered to the hotel ate and then got all dressed in our warm clothes to go see the lights at temple square. We took the tracks and I couldn't believe how many people were there...
After we headed back to the hotel and went swimming. The kids had a lot of fun trying to dunk Nathan even though they were unsuccessful. Then the next morning we visited and had our continental breakfast and then headed out to my parents for our Christmas party.
When we got to my parents we took the coats and blankets that we had gathered up to the Shelter in Tooele. Then we went to the park by Angie's house and played soccer and then football and it was a ton of fun. I happened to be on the winning team both times. Lots of fun. Then we went to my mom's and had homemade Cafe Rio. It was delicious! Then we had the kids make ornaments out of beads that they melted in the oven, and decorated sugar cookies. Then we went downstairs and divided into three teams and played minute to win it. It was so much fun and I laughed so hard. Then we acted out the nativity and mom bore her testimony and took a family picture to send to my brother Logan who is on his mission in Seattle right now....
We had a marvelous weekend filled with Love, Fun, and laughter. With Loved ones!
Our Christmas at home was wonderful as well. Landen happened to tell me that he thinks Santa must have got a raise this year. All the kids got a tablet. MaKelle got a new flute as well, Landen got a leather coat, nice pen and pencil, and games. Then Salem and Brooklyn got a MP3 Player as well. Salem also got a remote control truck, and Brooklyn got a minature horse. Nathan got a snow blade for his truck and a truck cover since we now have to have one of our vehicles out in the weather. I got a comforter for my bed and some shirts. Yes, we have been truly blessed and the Savior was a big part of our Christmas this year!
May the Lord Bless you all with a prosperous year to come!

Halloween 2012
This Year for Halloween we had our first trunk or treat with the ward. Nathan was so busy taking other pictures that these are the only ones I got of the kids. Yes the bottom picture is Landen covering his face behind Salem. Happy Halloween even though were late.

New Car
The time has come that my children are getting old enough to drive. Yikes. But anyway Nathan and I decided to get a car that would last a long time and get great gas mileage. So we went car shopping on October 19 and guess what we got a blue 2011 Toyota Corolla. We love it and the kids love it to. It's funny because now we have a rule that no one can eat in the car, so we can keep it clean and nice. Wonder how long that will last.
Chepeta
While we were on our trip to Europe our dog Chepeta passed away. The kids called us right when it happened. Which happened to be in the middle of the night where we were. They were so upset and I felt really bad. But they were able to work through it and they even buried her by her sister up in Tridell.
Chepeta was loved by all. She was such an easy going and obedient dog. We love you Chepeta and will miss you.
Trip to Europe Part 6
Trip to Europe Part 5
This is the Train Station in Paris. We got up at 2 in the morning to catch the train at 3 and arrived in Paris at 7. I was so excited that I could hardly contain myself. Although I wish I would have learned French. We got so lost until we figured out our directions and found the right bus # and we were on our way.
This is the Arc of Triumph
Next we decided to go see the Eiffel Tower, but walked there so on the way there are some pictures of things we thought looked cool...
It was a very long day but well worth it!
